May 21, 2024 - Introducing v.4 of the Cradl AI base model and New features​

Base model version 4

The newest version of our base model has seen major improvements in reading multiline tabular data, making it much more robust at handling complex document layouts. Version 4 also features enhancements to our receipt model and improved understanding of logo typography.

New Features

«Runs» is a new in-app tool that lets users easily manage all of Cradl AI’s core functionalities in one place. In Runs, you can view your run execution history, making it easier to stay organized in Cradl AI. You can also intuitively upload and parse documents without having to pre-configure import and export destinations. Simply drag and drop the documents you want to parse.

Once you have trained your AI Model, you’re ready to use Runs.

«Templates» help new users get up and running quickly by providing pre-configured Triggers, Export destinations, and AI Models (that you can tweak).

Breaking Changes

Before: Dates should be annotated in DD/MM/YYYY format.

Now: Dates should mirror the document's date. Type what you see. More info

If you created your model before April 30, 2024, you should continue entering dates in DD/MM/YYYY format instead of mirroring what is written in your document.

There have been multiple improvements to the app's UI and the Cradl AI documentation.

Feb 29, 2024 - Multiline input in Validator.​

In the Validator form you may now use line breaks in regular string input fields. Pressing Shift + Enter inside a normal string input field will convert the field into a text area with line numbers for visual help. If the text in a document extends over multiple lines, adding line breaks to match the text will improve your models' accuracy.

Feb 5, 2024 - Improving the visuals for flow runs.​

You can now get an overview on how far your documents have progressed in your flow. The new view makes it easier to track and debug flows.

Other changes:

  • The PDF viewer scrolls to the page where the prediction is found when focusing on a field.
  • Squashed bugs related to confidence for line items predictions not showing in the validator view.
